Are we in the biblical Last Days?
2 Timothy 3:13 tells us there will come a time when “Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
… And there sure was a lot of deception Saturday night in Michigan. And, unfortunately, the deceit I’m referring to was created by someone whose position is supposed to garner public trust.
Enter Preacher Rick Warzywak.
At Donald Trump’s rally in Michigan, Preacher Warzywak gave the opening invocation that day, pushing the Big Lie that Trump was the real winner of the 2020 election.
Father in heaven, we firmly believe that Donald Trump is the current and true president of the United States. You have raised him up for this season and time to be used, to be part in saving a nation. Bless and protect him and his family from any physical, spiritual attacks, and may his voice still the people to righteous action to bring godly men and women into elected office, in Michigan and across America. We declare that he will be back in office soon — very soon — in Jesus’ name. Amen.
He will be back in office very soon?
Seriously?!? We will see about that.
And “righteous” and “godly” aren’t at all synonymous with Donald Trump.
As a Christian man, I have been so utterly disappointed with Evangelicals’ fanatical worship of Trump.
And the Bible speaks about their actions. Even the elect will be deceived.
For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
It’s sad to see all of this happening.
Trump is nothing like Jesus at all. In fact, he closely resembles the adversary. Is following him really worth it?
During the Civil War, the confederate states also believed God was on their side.
How did that work out for them?
And did they fight for a godly cause?
“Thus, even before the actual institution of slavery is abolished, the work of the Gospel abolishes the assumptions and prejudices that make slavery possible.”The Gospel Coalition
If any president was sent by God, it was surely Abraham Lincoln. And if any president was doing the devil’s bidding, it was Donald Trump.
